i a similar problem. before i

i have a similar problem. before i eat, sometimes i look at myself in the mirror to decide how much/ if i can eat. but i've been doing better by getting into regular eating patterns (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 snacks like advised by this site) no matter how i feel my stomach looks like b/c for one, our self-image is very skewed, and i learnd that its ridiculous for me to think i don't deserve a necessity of life. all we can do is try to eat healthy, do a little exercise and just be happy with the body we're blessed with. b/c although we bash our bodies alot, they really do alot for us!

When I feel stressed out about food I try to look at it as "medicine" or "sacred nourishment"

I reckon you should eat if

I reckon you should eat if you feel hungry, especially if you have just woken up it is very likely that it is REAL hunger, not emotional. Eating something healthy will boost your metabolism and you probably won't get any more calories than you would if you binged and purged anyway! (because you always retain some)

I've been having terrible cravings and hunger since I've been recovering, it is our bodies trying to heal. Listen to it, untill we are eating normally again we have to expect that our bodies are going to be a little out of whack. I have been waking up hungry some nights and I have a glass of milk and go back to bed.

Good luck and take care!
