I just had to share this with everyone because it blows my mind in so many ways...I just drank an 8 oz glass of juice for the first time in over a year. How would that sound to someone without an e/d? crazy right?

just hold my hand i think that would help.

Yeah I strictly only drank

Yeah I strictly only drank water and diet drinks...nothing ever with calories (can you believe I used to feel as though crystal light with 5 cals was too much??) uggh..its so scary, I hope I can recover completely someday and not have to have every meal be a math equation.

just hold my hand i think that would help.

I appreciate you pointing this out...

I love how juice is supposed to be good for you and yet, we're all fearful of how jam-packed with calories it actually is. I, too, rarely touch juice and I congratulate you on your efforts! :)

Great job! Congratulations!

Great job! Congratulations!

Achievement seems to be connected with action. Successful men and women keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.

yes, i think its a matter of

yes, i think its a matter of lessening the fear of calories.

and in order to lessen, we just have to keep pushing ourselves until we dont feel fear anymore, it might take a long time but trust me.

my fear lessened when i started allowing the foods i used to forbid..

it wasnt easy.
it didnt happen over days.
there were ALOT of times i would fall back. (in fact i still do!)

it was hard. it took awhile. and i would have to pull myself up everytime (but this pulling up becomes easier with time).

but its so much worth it to let yourself loose from all the restrictions.

the life im living right now is soooooooooo much better that i REFUSE to forbid/restrict foods that might trigger me back into feeling like an anorexic-then guilt-then binge-then purge (you know the cycle).

im still there, but i think im not too far from the exit.

we all can get out of this darkness

Went on my first beach trip where I didn't starve myself the week before. I'm still a little self-conscious, but my new life in recovery is a bazillion times better!!

Nice Job!

Great job! I dipped my veggies in dressing that wasn't light or low-fat yesterday! I also had dessert 2 days in a row, and suprisingly, I'm not fat today!
I've added 200 calories to my lunch so hopefully that will help get rid of the binges... when they're down to once a week or less, I'll consider myself recovered.
Isn't recovery a beautiful thing??

One study found that vomiting after binge eating made women weigh more than women who did not vomit after a binge eating session. By vomiting, bulimics only make room for larger binge sessions!
