Has anyone else had problems with getting drunk and stealing food that belongs to a friend?

A couple of years ago I was at a friend's house party. I was really drunk and found myself alone in the kitchen. I began stuffing myself with pretty much everything in his fridge. Someone walked in and THANKFULLY it was my boyfriend who knows about my eating disorder. We went home after that; but I don't know what I would have done if someone else had caught me.

Another recent incident which was terrible was at a friend's dinner party. I arrived late and skipped dinner; the hostess had saved her dinner because she was drunk; she put it in the microwave. I got drunk too; then ate half of her dinner she had saved for herself while everyone was in another room. In the morning she found her dinner had gone and began asking EVERYONE that was there; who stole her food. It was so embarrasing. I would be out with friends who had been there and everyone was saying they didnt understand who could have done something like that. i felt like a criminal.

In the end I told my friend I have an eating disorder and that it was impulsive; as i didnt want her to think it was a friend stealing food and then lying about it. Normally i wouldn't dream of letting her know this; but I know she has Bipolar, so it's easier for me to tell someone with mental health problems that I have one too; however ashamed I am.

Similar things have happened like one easter I ate loads of my little brothers easter eggs on a binge. He was so upset that someone had stolen his chocolate eggs and was lying to him about it. I couldnt tell anyone because at the time none of my family knew about my bulimia. I've also stolen trifles from my mum when I've visited. My sister who knows about my bulimia once said 'I bet it was Felicity' when my mum said someone had eaten something she was saving in the fridge. That really hurt.

Does anyone else have this problem? I feel so guilty about it...

tell me about it... i always

tell me about it... i always steal my boyfriends cereal. he doesn't mind too much but i've often stolen food or eaten so much that i'm sure that people have noticed things just disappearing.
over christmas i was studying away and all my friends left and i ate the entire contents of their fridge then so they didn't know. i threw everything away and cleaned out the fridge and freezer and said the cleaner must have done it!
