Find a healthy weight according to your height and remember that weight fluctuates by 2-3 pounds in either direction. You may never attain your ideal weight due to it being unrealistically low, but is weighing a few pounds less, worth the cost of disturbed eating habits?

"..I know you don’t feel pretty, even though you are. But it wasn’t your beauty that found room in my heart.."
"..Take some time and learn to breathe, and remember what it means to feel alive and to believe something more than what you see.."
hi brad,
i envy you and how you've diagnosed the problem and are trying to defeat it after a month already. i wish i had the brains to fix my illness before it got to this point. please don't give up and let this go on any longer... fight hard :) i'd hate to see you where i am, down the road. please contact me if you need any support. i can give you a whole lot of reasons why you should stop this now. :)
Wooot Brad! Welcome to the club!
A note for you- get pissed off. Get really pissed off and break the cycle.
Keep us updated!
Stay strong.

Hey Brad. I really hope you get to the bottom of this asap. Have you started looking at why it all happened? emotionally/diet wise? I think you have a great chance to bypass this if you get it early. I think it's worth at an early stage just to throw every means of recovery at it just break those routines before it gets more ingrained. I know it's easier said then done, but anyway I hope you can pass this stage. it's not nice. all the best. This site is very helpful.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
Welcome Brad!
It's great that you are recognizing the problem and trying to beat this before it gets too established in your life. I was also 19 when I developed this disorder, and I wish I got help back then.
There are usually emotional reasons tied to the binge/purge cycle. Have you thought of these reasons? That is a great place to start :)
Again, welcome to this site! I hope you find the support you need here. Take care, and keep us updated!
Hi brad
I too am glad that you have decided to get support. When I started I was in 7th grade, which made me 13 years old. I am now 52 years young. It really is an exciting road to recovery. You get to learn alot about yourself thru it all. Most importantly, realize that it didn't happen overnite so therefore it won't go away overnite either. You have to be determined and fight off the voices in your head that try to control you.
I myself started because it sounded like a good idea to be able to eat what I want and not gain weight. Well, at least that is why i thought I started it. Really, it was low esteem. You can do anything you put your mind too! There really is no such thing as trying, you just have to do it.I lost my teeth from it and now I am having issues with my stomach. I believe it is because my stomach lining is messed up. Put your energies into eating correctly and healthy. i now have been lifting weights for a long time and I also powerlifted with my daughter. i weigh 116lbs and I eat healthy. For me, it never really left me mentally, but I have learned how to live with it and not let it defeat me. So with that, I am hear for you! debbie
I don't mean to chew your ear off, but I am new to this line and I just want to reach out to people and help!
